Firefighters have raced to the scene of a huge fire at an Evri parcel warehouse near Bristol.

The distribution centre in Avonmouth is spewing thick black smoke visible from the M5 motorway.

There are 16 fire crews at the scene already, and locals are being told to keep their windows and doors closed.

Avon Fire and Rescue said: ‘We currently have 16 appliances in attendance at a warehouse fire in Avonmouth.

‘If you live and work in the local area, we’d advise you to keep your windows and doors shut. More updates to follow.’
