The Simpsons bosses have officially confirmed that they didn’t predict the downfall of Sean ‘Diddy Combs’ after a bizarre hoax.

The cartoon has been on our screens for 35 years and has eerily forecasted some huge moments in history in the past, including Donald Trump’s presidency, Twitter’s rebrand to X and last year’s Titanic submersible tragedy.

Some fans were left in a spin when an image showing Combs as a Simpsons character sporting a pink suit and running from police officers emerged online shortly after his home was raided in March, following accusations of sexual assault and human trafficking – allegations he fiercely denied.

However, after claims that those working on the series had somehow prophesized the drama surrounding Combs, showrunner Matt Selman insisted that this was untrue.

Speaking to TMZ, he explained that the picture in question, which is making the rounds on social media, was actually an AI fake.

‘In the current era of digital misinformation, The Simpsons “predictions” (or, more accurately, “coincidences”) have become meaningless,’ he told the outlet.

‘Any goofball can whip up an AI image based on a current event and say “The Simpsons predicted it!” — and decent-but-easily-misled folks will believe it because they so very want it to be true.’

Addressing the previous, infamous predictions, he added: ‘If you study history, you will be able to “predict” the future because the foolishness of humanity repeats itself.

‘If you study math, you will know that if the show makes literally tens of thousands of jokes about American society over almost 800 episodes, it would be statistically impossible not to create material that overlaps with what would later happen in real life.’

In March, Combs’ Miami and LA residences were raided by Homeland Security following allegations of sex trafficking.

‘Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr Combs’ residences,’ his legal team said in a statement in the wake of the search.

‘There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.

‘Mr Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities.

‘There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.’

He was recently forced to issue a groveling apology to ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, after a shocking video emerged, showing the moment he brutally attacked her in 2016.

Harrowing footage published by CNN last week showed Combs physically assaulting Ventura at a hotel – he was filmed grabbing and shoving his former partner and dragging and kicking her on the floor.

Days after the clip surfaced, he shared a video on social media, apologizing for his actions and claiming that he had hit ‘rock bottom’.

Ventura released a statement earlier today, thanking those who had rallied around her after the assault video surfaced.

‘Domestic violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past,’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time.

‘It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in.’

‘I offer my hand to those that are still living in fear. Reach out to your people, don’t cut them off. No one should carry this weight alone.

‘This healing journey is never ending, but this support means everything to me. Thank you.’
