A delivery driver for US takeaway sevice Door Dash says they were punished for refusing to deliver food to someone who wanted to answer the door naked.

The employee has posted on the social media site Reddit to discuss their experience with the nudist customer.

In their post, they said: ‘A couple of hours ago, I got an offer to drive a little over eight miles for $10.50.

‘I normally wouldn’t accept this offer but it was towards the end of my dash and it would bring me closer to home than I currently was so I decided to go for it.

‘When I got to the restaurant, the food wasn’t ready yet so I took a seat and started scrolling through Twitter.

‘I got a message from the customer saying “Just to let you know, I am a nudist and WILL be answering the door nude.”

‘I responded with “Okay, I will be cancelling then” and went out to my car to call support.’

The driver went on: ‘They basically told me that it wasn’t a good enough reason and if I unassign, my completion rate will go down and I won’t be paid anything.

‘I was like “Alright, fine. If that’s what needs to be done for me to not see a stranger’s d*ck, then go ahead and punish me.”

‘They just said “Great, I will unassign you! You should start getting offers again” and hung up.’

People in the comments section were supportive of the driver’s decision.

One person wrote: ‘I absolutely [agree], 100%.

‘Would never EVER subject someone to my naked body without their consent.

‘This is WRONG.

‘This was not a nudist. This was a creepy, CREEPY, individual that just wanted a stranger to see this naked without consent to get their rocks off.’
