An ‘entitled rich man’ has revealed the reason why he parks his Mercedes in disabled spaces sparking outrage from wheelchair users.
Luke Desmaris, 28, casually filmed himself parking his £130,000 Mercedes G Wagon in a disabled bay at a Sainsbury’s car park.
He took to Tiktok to argue he would be finished shopping before 100 disabled people needed the spot.
He said: ‘I’m a very quick person and I need to be close to the shops to save time.
‘Time is money and within the two minutes I’m in the shop 100 disabled people are not going to show up. That’s why I’m parking in a disabled bay.’
But viewers were quick to point out he still had no right to park there.
One commenter wrote: ‘It’s not two minutes, it’s a disabled bay, I’m disabled and people like you are fit and healthy to walk a mile to the shops.’
There even appeared to be closer parking bays which were for everyone to use.
One user said: ‘There are spaces closer to the shop doors though.’
A fourth also questioned why he was demonstrating the video in a seemingly empty car park, with no activity or the sight of other shoppers around him.
They said: ‘Better explain why he’s in an empty Sainsbury’s car park.’
Luke was also filmed driving into an empty bus lane to cut in front a queue of traffic.
He said: ‘To poor people this is a bus lane. To rich people it’s a VIP lane to avoid traffic. We don’t care about the fines.’
