There aren’t many 80-year-olds who have a song dedicated to their ‘moves’ but Mick Jagger is an icon for a reason.

The Rolling Stones frontman was living his best life at a small music festival when the band began to play Maroon 5’s hit song Moves Like Jagger.

Positively beaming at hearing the opening bars of the third most played song of 2010, Mick broke into some dance moves, as the song suggests.

‘Moves like who!’ he captioned his Instagram post of the moment, with him ducking and jumping along to the music.

His son Lucas, 24, couldn’t help but tease the music legend as he commented: ‘Dadda WHO PUT U UP TO THis.’

Mick credited the live band Splash for the cover but it’s unclear if anyone knew the song’s inspiration was lurking at the edge of the dance floor.

When Moves Like Jagger came out, Mick described the song as ‘very flattering’ to the BBC before adding he found it all ‘hilarious’.

Unfortunately for Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, his muse has not yet performed with him despite the band inviting Mick to join them.

‘I wish I had written it,’ the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer told The Sun. ‘But wouldn’t that be weird?’

He added: ‘It’s not really like a Maroon 5 song, so they’re probably as surprised by the success of it as I am. … It’s very catchy. It’s funny. Only thing is, it puts pressure on me when I go out dancing!’

While Mick might feel the pressure to perform when busting a move, the band actually chose him over Prince or Michael Jackson because he’s so ‘unique’.

Adam told NPR: ‘There’s something about the way [Mick] moves that is uniquely his own and hard to imitate, but also accessible and silly and fun, and not taking itself too seriously.’
