Philips’ stunning 34in OLED is now near half-price

I wasn’t kidding when I said Philips Evnia OLED monitors are about to get cheaper. Those reductions are now in effect, leading to some of the best high-end display bargains we’ve seen in 2024.

The pick of the bunch, in my estimation, is the 34M2C8600, which, as promised, has dropped from $899 to $799. That alone makes the monitor worth revisiting, but the deal’s even better at Amazon UK, where pricing has plummeted to £648.97. That’s the lowest we’ve ever seen, and a bargain for what is a stunning piece of equipment.

“Be prepared to get stunned by the precise colour reproduction of the Evnia QD OLED gaming monitor. The innovative Ambiglow redefines what a gaming environment usually is. You won’t miss a thing in your game with our curved display.”

Philips Evnia’s curved 34in QD-OLED turns heads when switched off, but fire it up, and you’re treated to a 3440×1440 ultrawide WQHD resolution at up to 175Hz. Prime gaming attributes, yet as is often the case with a Philips panel, there’s more to the 34M2C8600 than first meets the eye.

Highlights include Ambiglow lighting to enhance the feeling of immersion, onboard DTS speakers that are a cut above competitors, and a built-in KVM ideal for controlling two PCs with a single set of peripherals. You also get FreeSync Pro adaptive framerate synchronisation as standard, DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, and 99.3% DCI-P3 colour coverage. Heck, there’s even 90W charging via USB-C.

This is an impressive screen, no doubt, and at under £650, one of the most attractive OLED monitors to date.
