A social media user identified as Awele Irene Itegbe is currently trending on the micro-blogging platform for recreating crossdresser Bobrisky’s mugshot.

It is no longer news that the crossdresser was arrested by EFCC and sentenced to 6 months imprisonment. The commission released his mugshot during his trial, which made rounds online.

Itegbe Irene had chosen to recreate the infamous mugshot for her Final Year costume day. Sharing photos of her wearing similar attire to the one Bobrisky wore for his mugshot, Awele stated that she was arrested for alleged BBL, unlike Bob, who was arrested for Naira abuse.

Calling for Bobrisky’s freedom, Irene told the commission she was joking as she stated that she wasn’t ready for people to demand justice for her.

“EFCC because, quite frankly, I’m not ready to do FreeAwele.

Free Bobrisky”.

Recall that in April, Bobrisky was arrested by EFCC for abuse of Naira. He was arraigned before a Lagos court, where he pleaded guilty and pleaded with the judge to give him another chance with a promise to use his social media platforms to educate his followers against Naira abuse. Unfortunately, the judge didn’t excuse his behaviour, and he was sentenced to 6 months in jail at Ikoyi Correctional Center.

It was reported that Bobrisky was quietly moved to Kirikiri prison after his sentencing due to Kirikiri’s larger capacity than Ikoyi and for security purposes.

Refuting the claims, an NCoS official said that he was still held in the Ikoyi prison, as he didn’t commit a capital offence to warrant his transfer to a maximum prison where inmates serving life and death sentences were mostly kept.
