Noah Centineo had fans doing a complete double take when he returned to Instagram with a brand-new look, showing off a huge beard and shaggy hair.

The 27-year-old briefly claimed the title of the internet’s boyfriend in 2018, thanks to his break-out role in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before as Peter Kavinsky.

He reprised the role for two sequels, while also appearing in The Perfect Date, Swiped and Sierra Burgess Is A Loser.

Most recently, the actor popped up in Netflix drama, The Recruit, and is thought to have completed filming on the second season in the last few days.

Noah sent us all into a spin over the weekend when he took to social media with a very rugged transformation, leaving some concerned over the new look.

In the snap, shared on his Instagram story, he could be seen sporting longer hair and a huge beard, donning a very cozy, fluffy white jumper.

Alongside the upload, he simply wrote: ‘”Are you okay?”’

In another video, he waved at the camera while enjoying some spring sunshine, rocking a striped white and red T-shirt for the outing.

Fans were left baffled by the change in Noah’s appearance and flocked to Reddit to unpack the pictures.

Babalon124 commented: ‘Remember when this man was the entire internets crush…that seems like ages ago now.’

Substantial_Chest395 agreed: ‘I’m so confused. This looks like a completely different person.

‘Neither being unattractive, just can’t believe this is the same man?!’

Supportivestrudel leapt to his defense, penning: ‘Aww to be fair to Noah this is probably 95% of people of their day off. In a hoodie at the store, just chilling.’

‘Lmao holy crap I would not have recognized him at all if I wasn’t told who this was,’ MimsyIsGianna posted.

As Affectionate_Salt351 added: ‘I’m hype for a new season of The Recruit, whenever that is. He’s actually really talented in addition to being a babe.’

Noah was catapulted into worldwide fame in 2018 and has barely stopped working since – he has gone from the To All The Boys franchise to a stint in Black Adam, beside Dwayne Johnson.

He switched things up with smash Netflix series, The Recruit, with the second season on the way very soon.

Filming for new episodes kicked off at the beginning of the year, with production taking place Vancouver, Canada, and South Korea.

The upcoming series will see CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks (Noah) ‘pulled into a life-threatening espionage situation in South Korea, only to realize that the bigger danger just might be coming from inside the agency’.

‘I know I speak for our entire team and Netflix when I say that we’re thrilled to be returning to The Recruit for a second season,’ the lead star told Netflix’s Tudum of his return.

‘I’m looking forward to seeing what [showrunner] Alexi Hawley has in store for us all.’
