It’s all kicking off on Ramsay Street (Picture: Amazon Freevee/Metro.co.uk)

Haz Devkar’s (Shiv Palekar) life continues to hang in the balance as the residents of Ramsay Street recover from his deepfake deviance in next week’s Neighbours.

The Amazon Freevee soap will explore Mackenzie Hargreaves’ (Georgie Stone) agony as she sits by his bedside, whilst the Varga-Murphy family have their own woes when Dex (Marley Williams) exposes a huge secret.

As Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) and Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) make amends, his ex-wife Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden) makes a huge decision regarding her future in Erinsborough.

Meanwhile, Chelsea Murphy (Viva Bianca) seems to finally get her wicked way with Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), but will he see her for the woman she really is before it’s too late?

Luckily for you, I’ve got everything you need to know ahead of next week’s Neighbours – consider Metro.co.uk your very own West Waratah Star. I’m no Tim Collins though.

Memories of Hendrix haunt Mackenzie

Karl has to begin CPR (Picture: Amazon Freevee)

After being hit by Mackenzie’s car, Haz lies stunned on the floor as she rushes to his aid – whilst Andrew (Lloyd Will) gets his hands on Wade (Steven Phillips). Karl (Alan Fletcher) begins resuscitation as Mack watches at her ex-boyfriend spiralling towards death.

The residents head to the hospital and are taken aback by the news that he suffered a heart attack as a result of the impact trauma and is in a coma, unlikely to wake up.

At his bedside, Mackenzie’s darkest fears are realised as memories of Hendrix’s (Benny Turland) dying days begin to flood back.

Later, the doctor informs the No. 32 gang that the chances of his recovery are higher, so Sadie (Emerald Chan) and Byron (Xavier Molyneux) hatch a plan to sneak Trevor into the hospital in the hope it’ll help Haz wake up.

As the friends rally around, they realise that not even the presence of his trusty sidekick is enough.

Meanwhile, Holly decides to do some digging and find his family but when her online searches prove fruitless, Byron urges her to pass the matter on to the police.

She liked it, she put a ring on it…

This can only end badly (Picture: Amazon Freevee)

Paul is hurt when he sees Terese and Toadie together, and makes the impulsive decision to ask a delighted Chelsea to propose to him again – and of course, this time he says yes.

He clearly doesn’t tune into ‘Neighbours’, does he?

As she begins to plan their engagement party, Leo (Tim Kano) confronts his dad for using her to get over Terese.

Even with Jeffrey (Tim Potter) breathing down her neck, Chelsea is elated that things seem to be going swimmingly for once and is determined not to let her web of lies get in the way of her happiness.

But will everything go as smoothly as she hopes?

Krista is at war with her emotions

Krista’s out of hospital – and heads straight to meet Aaron (Picture: Amazon Freevee)

After being discharged from hospital and determined to begin a new chapter, Krista (Majella Davis) has forgotten why she sought Chelsea out before her accident and instead looks to make a pact with Aaron (Matt Wilson) to stop one another from relapsing again.

However, when her ex-drug dealer Shannon fronts her, Leo has to step in and send him packing. Whilst he maintains a distance after their separation, it seems she’s happy to open up to him again.

He later admits that he loves Krista but is hurt by the way she treated him, and doesn’t feel like they have a future together, leaving her unsure how to move on after losing both her child and her boyfriend.

Dex overhears at JJ’s hearing

Ahead of JJ’s (Riley Bryant) hearing, Cara (Sara West) and Remi (Naomi Rukavina) pull out all the stops to distract him with a game of basketball in the street.

Similarly anxious about the outcome, Dex comes home early from school claiming he’s sick and the brothers make amends.

Later, good news hits No. 30 when they learn JJ has been granted diversion, but they’re knocked back when they find another ‘return to sender’ letter from Felix (James Beaufort).

As they rejoice that he’s taken note of their warning to keep away, Dex overhears and is riddled with guilt knowing the true reason for his rejections – and drops the bombshell.

A huge war erupts as the family falls apart once again, and JJ swears he will never forgive his mums.

Taking his anger out on the punching bag at No. 26, he reveals the extent of his pain to Andrew who can see both sides of the argument.

Meanwhile, the Varga-Murphys are given food for thought when Dex asserts that whether they like it or not, Felix is part of their extended family now.

Susan gets a different sort of retirement experience

Susan feels pushed out (Picture: Amazon Freevee)

As Terese and Susan (Jackie Woodburne) begin their first day of work together at Eirini Rising, it soon becomes clear to them both that they have different ideas on how the retirement experience should be run.

Once again, clearly neither of them have ever tuned into ‘Neighbours’ before – we could’ve told you this weeks ago!

Terese excitedly changes Susan’s plans and the work she does, not noticing that she’s feeling increasingly put out.

At the end of the day she tells Toadie that the new working relationship is going to work out well, not realising that her ops manager is having grave doubts.

Leavin’ in a drinks van

Melanie is hopeful for the future (Picture: Amazon Freevee)

Melanie chooses to hide from Terese and Toadie when she spots when together, but is surprised when she’s offered a sincere apology so the three can move forward.

With Toadie finally making peace with his ex-wife, it seems that the love triangle is finally relinquished.

When her last day of community service approaches, Melanie begins to ponder the next phase of her life and a chance remark from Paul prompts her to make the big decision to leave Erinsborough and head around Australia with the Drinks Divas van on a music festival circuit.

Fear not, our Mel is only on the road for five weeks!

As the Kennedys give her their blessing, she packs her bags at No. 28 in the hope she can afford to move out permanently on her return and drives off for her new adventure.
