A man shot two people dead at a law office in Las Vegas, Nevada, and then turned the gun on himself.

An active shooter situation was reported around 10am on Monday inside the office in the Summerlin area, said the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The victims were identified as a man and a woman. Their names were not immediately released.

‘We believe he took his own life,’ Sheriff Kevin McMahill told reporters at the scene.

Multiple law enforcement sources identified the gunman as a lawyer, Joe Houston, KTNV reported. The victims were Houston’s former daughter-in-law, Ashley Prince, and her new husband Dennis Price, who is also an attorney, the sources said.
