Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks were told off by the police after fans went ‘wild’ for the TV personalities as they passed through Nottingham.

The Made In Chelsea star, who was dubbed King of the Jungle in 2023, travelled across the UK with podcast co-host, The Only Way is Essex star Pete, in April for their fast-selling Staying Relevant Tour.

Their flashy tour bus featured their names emblazoned in massive letters, huge avatars of themselves and the tour name written in gold. Needless to say, it was an eye-catching vehicle, costing £15,000 for the decor alone.

As Sam, 31, and Pete, 36, travelled to the north – including cities such as Manchester and Newcastle. They originally planned to travel through Nottingham on their route, but were forced to change their plans.

As Sam told the Daily Mail, when they arrived hoards of fans had caught whiff of their plans and showed up to enthusiastically greet them.

At the time they were warned about causing a disturbance and forced to change route, although Sam found it ‘absolutely hilarious’.

It was only on Friday that they discovered the whole debacle had been reported by the Nottingham police due to ‘the tour bus’.

‘Apparently, we created a disturbance on the roads, and basically, they were like, we can’t have people honking their horns at you all the time because we had our faces plastered all over the tour bus,’ the reality star told the publication.

As they travelled through ‘there were literally so many cars beeping us and passengers were filming us and stuff like that’.

The I’m A Celeb winner continued: ‘The drivers were beeping their horns to the point where the police in Nottingham got in touch and were like,

‘”Guys, we can’t have you driving through Nottingham like this. You’re creating disturbance on the roads”, which I found absolutely hilarious.’

‘So we had to circumnavigate and go a different way because it was going wild in Nottingham.’

Both Sam and Pete have had to bat off the advances of their adoring fanbase while on stage as well.

Sam recalled several pairs of underwear and bras being chucked on stage for the men to pick up that, on occasion, even had messages transcribed on them.

‘There was also a lady who took off her bra on when she was at her seat and then whipped her bra onto stage. So she just had nothing there.

‘I was more so the underwear picker upper, where I would I would pick it up [and] be like, “Thank you, thank you for that miss”,’ he added.

Sam conquered the jungle at the end of last year after choking down a pig’s vagina and a camel’s toe among other stomach churning items.

The presenter, who is in a relationship with fellow reality star Zara McDermott, told fans they had ‘made a young boy’s dream… come true and I will never ever forget that’ after securing the crown.

In February, Sam came under fire on social media after asking Dune star Timothee Chalamet what it was like filming romantic scenes with co-star and friend Zendaya.

After people slammed him for the awkward question, Sam responded: ‘You should have seen the bit where I asked Timothee if he wanted to play call of duty with me, you’d have loved it.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Nottingham Police for comment.

Sam and Pete return for three more dates of the Staying Relevant Tour in September in London.
