If the color around the Xbox button is the same as the faceplate, your controller can be connected through Bluetooth. On the contrary, if the color around the Xbox button is part of the top (the section that holds the Bumpers), your controller doesn’t support Bluetooth. Connect Xbox Controller To Android Or iOS
- Firstly, go to your phone’s settings and turn on the Bluetooth.
- Put your Xbox controller into Pairing mode by pressing the Pair button for three seconds. The Xbox button will start flashing in the pairing mode.
If the Xbox button shows a white light and it isn’t blinking, it means your controller is connected to your console. You’ll have to unpair it from your console before pairing the controller with your phone.
- You’ll now see the Xbox wireless controller under the available devices in your phone’s Bluetooth settings. Tap on it to pair the controller with your device.
- The controller will now appear under the Paired devices. Just tap on it to connect your Xbox controller to the phone.
The above images show an iOS device, but rest assured; the steps will be exactly the same for an Android phone. Put the controller in pairing mode and find the device by navigating to the Bluetooth settings.
