Grab an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT for cheap with this GPU deal

As much as many mid-range graphics cards offer plenty of value at MSRP, it’s always worth waiting for a great GPU deal. Case in point, our favourite QHD pixel pusher, Radeon RX 7800 XT, is currently on sale with a large discount courtesy of Overclockers UK. At this price, it’s an absolute steal, but there’s no telling when the promotion ends so you’ll want to be quick to avoid missing out.

After our Radeon RX 7800 XT review, we deemed it to be the best graphics card for those with a 1440p gaming monitor in their setup. This remains the case, but it also makes for a great GPU deal if you’re sporting a 1080p display, particularly one with a high refresh rate. Now, with a £69 discount, bringing its price down to just £449.99 (down from £519.99) it’s hard to argue the case for any other pixel pusher for your PC in this price range.

This is the cheapest price we’ve ever seen for a Radeon RX 7800 XT. Making this GPU deal all the better though is that the particular model to receive this discount is from Sapphire. As part of the company’s Pulse series, this graphics card doesn’t feature any extra bells and whistles such as RGB but its cooler and build quality are unquestionably solid. Its black-and-red colour scheme also feels especially appropriate for an AMD GPU.

When it comes to gaming performance, Radeon RX 7800 XT has a few advantages over its competitors and similarly priced siblings. For starters, it’s the only graphics card to pack 16GB of VRAM for under £500. This should see it keep up with the ever-increasing demands of textures and see you right should you upgrade to a 4K gaming monitor in the future.

As for frame rates, check out the benchmark graph above. You’ll find more results on our review page, but we can’t imagine you’ll be unimpressed with Radeon RX 7800 XT performance at this price. Do note, though, that it only supports AMD FSR upscaling and frame generation, which are by all accounts inferior to Nvidia DLSS offerings. It’s also much better at rasterization than it is ray tracing but if you can tolerate these shortcomings, it makes for an excellent GPU deal.

We expect many an eagle-eyed GPU deal hunter will have their sights set on this deal, so don’t dawdle for too long if this seems like a great fit for your system.
