SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is the best gaming headset around, in my opinion, and it’s currently at its lowest price. The deal won’t last for long, as it’s part of Amazon’s Spring sale, which ends on March 25. I wouldn’t wait around, though, as it could easily run out of stock.

With 18% off, the headset is now its cheapest ever at £268.99 on Amazon UK. Amazon US sports a similar 17% discount at $291.99, although it did drop lower for Black Friday 2023. Europe saves 21% as the cans plummet under €300. This is still on the premium side, of course, but SteelSeries Arctis Nove Pro Wireless could be the last gaming headset you buy—it’s that good.

Like the original Arctis Pro Wireless, this new model comes with two hot-swappable batteries. You’ll never run out of power, as you’ll always have a second cell charging in the accompanying base station. Switching them around takes seconds, so you’ll never be caught short mid-game.

This base station also fills a void for me. It lets me connect my headset to my Razer Mixer or GoXLR, while keeping the low-latency 2.4GHz wireless connection. It’s a bit boujee to say, but I struggle to live without separate audio sources nowadays. There is some joy for console users, though, as the headset features two simultaneous devices, one via 2.4GHz and the other Bluetooth. You can mix the chat using the OLED screen on the hub.

One major improvement over the original is active noise cancelling. It works well to seal sound out, leaving you immersed in your game, film, or music session. Personally, I use Transparency Mode more, which amplifies the noise around you instead of cutting it out. It lets me regulate my voice comms better, so I’m not shouting down the microphone late at night.

Features aside, the headset also sounds fantastic. The default equaliser has finely balanced mids compared to most bass-heavy alternatives, rivalling that of professional headphones. You can adjust it to your liking using the dock or Sonar software. There’s 360° Spatial Audio for games that support it, but I admittedly haven’t used this function enough to comment.

The ClearCast Gen 2 microphone handles itself well with AI-powered noise cancelling to isolate your voice. It’s still a headset mic, so don’t expect wonders. Quality will also dip whenever you use it wireless as there’s more compression than wired. Still, it does the trick in a pinch and your teammates will hear you just fine.

And if you’re wondering why mine looks a little swanky compared to the standard black version, that’s because you can customise the headband, ear cushions, and side plates. The plates are official, specifically the Destiny 2 limited edition exclusive to the SteelSeries website. The rest comes from WC on Amazon. I went for the cooling gel ear pads to ensure I don’t get too hot-headed in my games, and I feel it’s well worth it.

Rather than taking my word for it, why not give it a shot yourself? The deal is on Amazon, which means you benefit from the 30-day return window. If you’re not happy, just get in touch with support and send it back for a full refund.
