EastEnders star Patsy Palmer made her highly-anticipated return to Albert Square earlier this year, and of course there’s always drama when Bianca Jackson is around.
The soap legend, 51, returned to the soap when Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and boyfriend Zack Hudson (James Farrar) left Walford for Milton Keynes after learning Bianca had split with her partner.
Since then, she has returned to Albert Square and uncovered Zack’s betrayal with Whitney’s best friend Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), and it’s safe to say that she isn’t best pleased about it.
Patsy shot to fame after making her EastEnders debut in 1993, but fans have been stunned to discover that Patsy isn’t even her real name.
Yes, a real duff-duff moment.
During a This Morning interview back in 2019, she told former hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: ‘My name is Julie really and so I thought, “I’m going to get back to calling myself by my real name.”‘
‘But I actually get so confused myself that sometimes I say Patsy and sometimes I say Julie… So now in Malibu they call me Patsy Julie. Julie Merkell is my married name but it was Julie Ann Harris.’
Patsy or Julie continued: ‘I’ve got so many names and then Bianca…I’m on a mission to find out who I really am! And then sometimes I’m ginger and then sometimes a mum, and then a wife.
‘I’m everything. Who am I? Tell me please Phil, I’ve come back – I must go on Who Do You Think You Are.’
