Tom King’s (James Chase) behaviour spirals even further in upcoming episodes of Emmerdale as he learns Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) has been keeping a secret from him.
In a special instalment, focus will be on Tom, Belle, Rhona (Zoe Henry) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) as they attempt to enjoy a dinner together – but things quickly take difficult and dark turns.
The audience will experience the party but in two halves. One will be from the perspective of Rhona and Marlon from the dinner table, while the other will be from Belle and Tom’s perspective in the kitchen.
It will aim to highlight what you see in public isn’t necessarily the same as what is behind closed doors.
Before the dinner party, Belle sneaks to an appointment at the doctors, hoping to organise her contraceptive prescription.
As we can see in this new video, Belle explains to Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) that she doesn’t want it sent home like her other meds.
Manpreet grows a little concerned and reminds Belle that any information she reveals in the surgery is confidential. She takes it on board, but chooses to not tell the doctor anything about Tom.
After chatting about the medication some more, they eventually manage to find a solution.
Meanwhile, at the vets, Tom messes up diagnosing an elderly dog with cancer without conducting the tests. When Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) arrive in the nick of time, Vanessa swiftly orchestrates the correct blood tests.
As the furious client heads out, Tom starts playing the victim and says Vanessa makes him feel unwelcome at the practice.
He then turns the tables again and decides to invite the vet staff and their partners to a dinner party tomorrow at his and Belle’s.
When Tom gets home, he’s in an awful mood after his day. He tells Belle about the dinner and says the success of it is down to her.
Prior to the arrival of the guests, Tom finds Belle and makes her change into a more ‘appropriate’ outfit.
As Belle heads to her room, Tom makes a discovery but before he can confront her, the guests start to arrive.

With the dinner party underway, Belle grabs a moment to herself by going upstairs. She is quickly followed by Tom and is threatened by him in the bathroom.
As the evening starts to fall apart, Rhona and the other guests start to exit, leaving poor Belle on her own with Tom.
Just as the house becomes empty again, we see the terrifying and upsetting reality of Belle’s life with abusive Tom.
