Baldur’s Gate 3: Where To Find Naaber

Naaber is a highly annoying NPC in BG3. Here’s how you can find him and figure out why he is so annoying.

One creature you can find and befriend is called Us. This is the brain-like creature known as an Intellect Devourer that you met on the Nautiloid at the beginning of the game. Here’s a guide to finding it later in the game.

What Is Us?

Us is an Intellect Devourer that has made friends with the player (so long as you don’t kill them at the beginning of the game). You will first see him trapped in the mind of an Elf named Myrnath in the second room of the game. He is a temporary companion during the events of the prologue and then randomly vanishes once you reach the helm of the ship. Later on in Act 2, you are able to find and rescue this little guy, allowing him to follow along on your journey.

How To Find Us

Us can be found in the Morgue of the Mind Flayer Colony. The map above shows this area. Once you reach the Morgue, you will need to rescue Us from a cage in the area. You can either ask the jailer for the key and pay for it or intimidate it out of him. You can also pickpocket the jailer and obtain the key to Us’ cage.

What Can Us Do?

Once Us is free, you will be able to summon him once per Short Rest. It has the following attacks:

  • Claws: 2d8 + 2 Slashing Damage
  • Devour Intellect: 2d10 Psychic Damage
  • Synaptic Discharge: 1d6 + 2 Psychic Damage
